Konnichiwa everyone 🙂
As my post about Kanazawa was getting pretty long, I decided to make a new post with more photos from our kimono experience in Kanazawa. It was a wonderful experience, walking around the old town, eating Japanese food, visiting Kenrokuen Garden and its teahouse dressed in a beautiful kimono. I could feel a bit of that Edo atmosphere.
I know, renting a kimono is one of those touristy things to do in Japan, however, I think it is a great way to experience Japanese culture. If you come to Japan, don’t miss this experience!
Kyoto and Kanazawa are two famous places where even Japanese people love renting kimonos, so you can find many rental shops. I recommend the one we went to, Vasara. They have various shops around Japan and many beautiful kimonos to choose from, at affordable prices. You can also rent a kimono in Tokyo and Asakusa is one great place where you can walk around the old streets in your kimono.
Now, time for the photos!
Thank you for your visit and please come again!
Happy traveling 🙂
