This Friday, I went to a really nice fashion event in Bucharest, Romanian Fashion Philosophy, which had only reached its second edition. The event took place between 21-24th March, being a chance for young Romanian fashion designers and fashion design students to show their collections and a chance for us to see them and to see designers coming from abroad as well.
When I was little and people asked me what I wanted to become when I grow up, I would say Fashion Designer. I didn’t follow that path but I still love fashion and everything related to it. So when my friend, who is studying fashion design, told me about this, I was really happy to go. It was probably the first time in my life I attended a real fashion show, and I had a great time! I mean real fashion show because I went to another fashion show in Japan before, organized by the students of Kuwasawa Design School, but it wasn’t as official as this time, it was more relaxed. The location was also pretty fancy, Bragadiru Palace. I like it when events in Bucharest are organized in such places, full of history, wonderfully kept and restored over time. I wish that more old buildings were restored, rather than destroyed. But back to the event, I attended the last day only but I had the chance to see the AW 17/18 collections of young and promising Romanian designers, such as Adelina Boie, and also the collection of the great Italian designer Andrea Lazzari and the star of the event was Spanish designer Agatha Ruiz de la Prada. I really loved her use of many colors and fun accessories. I would totally wear a piece made by her!
It took me quite a while to decide what to wear, and I opted for this pair of floral wide pants that I got in Japan, a white Rococo style shirt, a simple black jacket, a black purse and my Dr. Martens Polley shoes. Since I had no nice heels to wear, I went for the Martens. I wasn’t sure it was the best choice, as it was my first time attending such an event and expected many elegant outfits at the event, but to my surprise, I saw a lot of people wearing wide pants, so I didn’t feel completely out of place. Overall it was a really nice experience, and I took a few shots that I like, so I hope you’ll like them too!
Thank you for reading!
